The funny thing is, the media is not even mentioning or analysing lap 1 and the decision of Mercedes not to pit at the start of SC in lap 54. They are very focus on talking about the end only where Masi let just some cars through when in fact there was also a controversial decision before that in lap 56 when they decided not to let lapped cars through. They are not mentioning that the decision of Mercedes not to pit has already decided the race because if proper procedure was followed in lap 56, Verstappen would still be behind Hamilton and the result will not change.14-12-2021 08:41

What was clear is that they almost gifted Hamilton the title. Lap 1 was clear as day and lap 56 when they didn't let lapped cars through. The bad luck and bad decisions were on Mercedes. They ran out of luck. The ending was controversial but the result was always the same the moment Mercedes did not take Hamilton in to pit. Stop for a whole day and think about that.14-12-2021 08:32

At least he is not denying that and he is also not claiming that he was the better driver in that particular race. Now you also have to be honest with yourself. Masi's decision during that SC is not the only controversial one. Radios show that they could have let lapped cars through in lap 56. Here's what it meant: "They tell me to not drive the way I drive but then allow others to drive how I drive." And then: "Why don't they just let us race if they are going to the that anyway?!"
